Resumen:
La contaminación ambiental cada día empeora por lo que hay que buscar alternativas
para ayudar a cuidar el medio ambiente. Este estudio proporcionó una forma diferente de
diseñar y elaborar piezas didácticas para niños de 3 a 5 años con material reciclado. Se
tomó como referencia a 8 Centros Infantiles del Barrio de Carcelén – Quito – Ecuador
para realizar encuestas y entrevistas que permitieron tener un concocimiento más amplio
de las necesidades de los niños a esta edad. Los maestros consideraron que es
importante cambiar la cultura y enseñar a los niños a valorar la naturaleza.
La elaboración de las piezas se hizo con papel periódico y papel bond. El producto final
es presentado en empaques atractivos y de fácil manipulación.

Environmental Pollution every day is getting worse so it is important to have a look for
alternatives to protect the environment. This study provided a different way to design and
develop didactic pieces for children 3 to 5 years with recycled material. 8 Children's
Centers of Barrio de Carcelen – Quito - Ecuador was taken as reference to conduct
surveys and interviews. It allowed to have a wider knowledge of the Needs of Children at
this age. Teachers felt that is important to change the Culture so It is necessary to teach
Children to value nature.
The development of the pieces was made with newspaper and bonds paper. The final
product is presented in attractive packaging and easy to handle.
