Resumen:
En el Distrito Metropolitano de Quito se viene desarrollando el ciclismo por muchos años
como prácticas del deporte, pero no tenemos muy en claro cuáles son las disciplinas que se
desarrollan dentro del ciclismo, es por eso que luego de la investigación realizada y en base
a las entrevistas logradas se determinó que el ciclismo tiene dentro de sus disciplinas al
ciclismo de ruta, ciclismo de montaña, ciclismo de pista, downhill (descenso), four cross
(4x), ciclo cross, trial, ciclismo en sala(velódromo), bmx y freestyle,
En tal virtud se determinó para la presente investigación a tres de las disciplinas del ciclismo
como son el downhill, bmx race y bmx freestyle tres por el alto grado de adrenalina y sus
riesgos extremos de accidentes que conlleva practicarlas dentro de las disciplinas del
ciclismo. Para esto se concluye que dichos estilos necesitan la producción de un material
fotográfico documental que permita difundir, promover para conocer más a fondo dichas
disciplinas del ciclismo que será de gran aporte a la población en general especialmente a la
de Quito.

In the Metropolitan District of Quito, cycling has been developing for many years as
sports practices, but we are not very clear about the disciplines that develop within
cycling, which is why after the research carried out and based on the successful interviews
determined that cycling has within its disciplines to road cycling, mountain biking, track
cycling, downhill (downhill), four cross (4x), cycle cross, trial, cycling in hall
(velodrome), bmx and freestyle, In this virtue was determined for the present
investigation to three of the disciplines of cycling such as the downhill, bmx race and
bmx freestyle three for the high degree of adrenaline and its extreme risks of accidents
that entails practicing them within the disciplines of cycling. For this it is concluded that
these styles need the production of a documentary photographic material that allows to
disseminate, promote to know more about these disciplines of cycling that will be of great
contribution to the population in general, especially to that of Quito.
