This project describes the stages of analysis, design and implementation of an
electronic system to perform tests of the ROTAX 912 ULS engine of the ultralight aircraft
FOX VECTOR V6 that is in the Research and Development Center of the Ecuadorian
Air Force (CIDFAE).
The electronic system to be developed receives the denomination of Test Bank,
acquires physical signals such as temperature, pressure and revolutions per minute
(RPMs), generated by the propulsion system (engine), the acquired variables are
digitized, packaged and transmitted to an Interface Man Machine (HMI) so that the
operator can assess the operation of the components of the propulsion system. The
acquisition and transmission of data is done in real time and deterministically. In the HMI
the received values are stored in flat files. Flat files are used to analyze the behavior of
components in previous operational tests.
This document contains all the necessary information that explains in detail how the
hardware and software components were carried and developed.
