Resumen:
La administración es relativamente joven y ha experimentado un vertiginoso desarrollo y
evolución en estos últimos años, si la comparamos con otras disciplinas. El campo
ocupacional está determinado por el sector de las empresas privadas del país, que
comprende actividades: comerciales, industriales y de servicio; y, especialmente la
creación de nuevas unidades productivas en este sector. Además, en actividades de
asesoría, consultoría e investigación científica.
Dentro de la metodología se analiza el perfil del administrador en las actividades de
gestión del desarrollo científico, tecnológico e innovación; se realiza una revisión
bibliográfica sobre el tema de esta investigación, teniendo en cuenta los tratados de base
hasta lo más analizado en la actualidad; se trabaja con una encuesta que contiene
preguntas directrices para una mejor orientación de la investigación; y recoge las
opiniones y consideraciones de expertos en el tema que validaron el análisis de
pertinencia.
Dentro del modelo general de acreditación de carreras y programas encontramos como
primer criterio pertinencia, lo que da cuenta de la importancia que la autoridad le da a
este aspecto. Sin embargo, el concepto va mucho más allá de lo que en términos de
evidencia se puede documentar para efectos de evaluación; y, que, tratándose de un
concepto social, su contenido, sus dimensiones responden a los sujetos que la definen. La
pertinencia debe tener raíces profundas en la institución, como un eje transversal que
atraviesa todo el quehacer institucional, desde la Visión y Misión declarada en su
planificación estratégica, en la investigación, la vinculación y su oferta formativa: desde
el perfil profesional, de egreso hasta terminar en el currículo de una carrera o programa
que le brinda coherencia. De ahí la necesidad de abrir un debate amplio y participativo
respecto de la pertinencia a todo nivel que congregue los esfuerzos institucionales en
función del desarrollo nacional.
La investigación demuestra que la Carrera de Administración de Empresas es pertinente
con el desarrollo científico y tecnológico mediante la integración de sus procesos
administrativos como la planificación, organización, dirección y control en la gestión de
las actividades científicas, tecnológicas y de innovación.

The administration is relatively young and has experienced a vertiginous development
and evolution in recent years, if we compare it with other disciplines. The occupational
field is determined by the sector of private companies in the country, which includes
activities: commercial, industrial and service; and, especially the creation of new
productive units in this sector. In addition, in advisory, consulting and scientific research
activities.
Within the methodology, the profile of the administrator in the management activities of
scientific, technological and innovation development is analyzed; a bibliographic review
is made on the subject of this research, taking into account the basic treaties up to the
most analyzed at present; we work with a survey that contains directing questions to better
guide the research; and collects the opinions and considerations of experts in the subject
that validated the pertinence analysis.
Within the general model of accreditation of careers and programs, we find, as a first
criterion, relevance, which gives an account of the importance that authority gives to this
aspect. However, the concept goes far beyond what in terms of evidence can be
documented for evaluation purposes; and, that, being a social concept, its content, its
dimensions respond to the subjects that define it. The pertinence must have deep roots in
the institution, as a transversal axis that crosses all the institutional work, from the Vision
and Mission declared in its strategic planning, in the investigation, the link and its
formative offer: from the professional profile, of egress until you end up in the curriculum
of a career or program that gives you coherence. Hence the need to open a broad and
participatory debate on relevance at all levels that brings together institutional efforts in
terms of national development.
Research shows that the Career of Business Administration is relevant to scientific and
technological development through the integration of its administrative processes such as
planning, organization, direction and control in the management of scientific,
technological and innovation activities.
