Resumen:
A lo largo de la historia el fútbol femenino ha tenido que enfrentar una serie de adversidades
desde como las personas miran y tratan a este deporte hasta la discriminación de género que las
mujeres futbolistas hacen frente dentro y fuera de la cancha, ya que es un deporte considerado
desde sus inicios como masculino. El objetivo de la investigación es aportar al desarrollo del
fútbol femenino con un corto documental que cuestione la invisibilización de este deporte en el
Distrito Metropolitano de Quito. El estudio tendrá un enfoque cualitativo que permita interpretar
los discursos de personas que han estado presentes en los últimos 20 años en el desarrollo de
este deporte con el propósito de descubrir de donde parte el problema y cuáles son sus posibles
soluciones. La Federación Ecuatoriana de Fútbol será clave para la investigación ya que es el
rector principal del fútbol masculino y femenino en Ecuador.

Throughout history, women's football has had to face a series of adversities from how people
look at and treat this sport to the gender discrimination that women soccer players face on and
off the court, since it is a sport considered from its beginnings as masculine. The objective of
the research is to contribute to the development of women's football with a short documentary
that questions the invisibility of this sport in the Metropolitan District of Quito. The study will
have a qualitative approach that allows interpreting the discourses of people who have been
present in the last 20 years in the development of this sport with the purpose of discovering
where the problem originates from and what are its possible solutions. The Ecuadorian Football
Federation will be key to the investigation since it is the main rector of male and female soccer
in Ecuador.
