Resumen En la ciudad de Quito no existe una colección de estampillas con temática del Centro Histórico, Hace 40 años fue nombrado Patrimonio Cultural de la humanidad junto con las ciudades de Cracovia y Toledo las cuales si poseen estampillas representativas de dichos lugares. Quito tiene el Centro Histórico mejor conservado de Latinoamérica, las iglesias coloniales quiteñas son íconos arquitectónicos de la ciudad y lo más atractivo para los turistas. Existen muchos grupos filatélicos ecuatorianos que buscan agregar a su colección estampillas de estas características. Mediante este producto se pretende crear una colección de estampillas con temática barroca representando las iglesias coloniales más visitadas del Centro Histórico de Quito, esto ayudará a tener más opciones de souvenirs impresos en la ciudad para los visitantes. Su aporte al diseño se hará a través de las abstracciones de forma a elementos que se encuentran en las iglesias coloniales, generando repetición modular para desarrollar diferentes patrones colocados en las estructuras de las estampillas A través de entrevistas en profundidad a dos expertos se pudo evidenciar la necesidad de crear estampillas con esta temática, ya que este estilo de estampilla no se encuentra en el mercado de la ciudad de Quito, específicamente en los souvenirs que lo convertirá en un atractivo para los filatélicos y turistas que visitan la ciudad de Quito. El producto se creó a través de una estructura que tiene relación con la temática barroca en sus arcos y rompimiento estructural al cortar sus circunferencias, el tamaño de las estampillas es de 6 cm de ancho por 4,5cm de alto. Se usó una paleta de colores sacado de los elementos interiores de las iglesias coloniales como el oro, la plata, la madera, el interior de las cupulas, etc. Las formas que adornan las estampillas son abstracciones de formas de elementos de las iglesias, creando una repetición modular para desarrollar diferentes diseños. La información de las estampillas se rige a normativas del IGM y de Correos del Ecuador.

Abstract In the city of Quito there is no collection of stamps with the theme of the Historical Center, 40 years ago was named Cultural Heritage of humanity along with the cities of Krakow and Toledo which do have postage stamps representing these places. Quito has the best preserved Historic Center in Latin America, Quito's colonial churches are architectural icons of the city and most attractive for tourists. There are many Ecuadorian philatelic groups that seek to add stamps of these characteristics to their collection. This product is intended to create a collection of stamps with baroque themes representing the most visited colonial churches of the Historic Center of Quito, this will help to have more options of printed souvenirs in the city for visitors. It will also be contributed to the design by creating abstractions of form to elements that are found in the colonial churches, generating modular repetition to develop different patterns placed in the structures of the stamps Through in-depth interviews with two experts it was possible to demonstrate the need to create stamps with this theme, since it is a very attractive subject for philatelists, besides these testimonies allowed to focus on the different technical aspects that this product contains. The product was created through a structure that is related to the baroque theme in its arches and structural break by cutting its circumferences, the size of the stamps is 6 cm wide by 4.5 cm high. We used a color palette taken from the interior elements of colonial churches such as gold, silver, wood, the interior of the domes, etc. The forms that adorn the stamps are abstractions of elements of the churches, creating a modulation repetition to develop different designs.
