dc.description	The purpose of this project is to design the HFC network in the Puente de Piedra urbanization and provide telecommunications services to the inhabitants of this sector, the HFC technology to make the combination of fiber optic cable and coaxial cable which facilitates the transmission of several services as a child (voice, data, and video). For this purpose, the explanation of how the components of the HFC Network work and the importance in the design of this project has been developed, as well as the analysis of the types and characteristics of the passive and active equipment that was chosen in the design. Through a field investigation it was possible to verify the place, the number of publications and the streets to see the feasibility of installing the HFC Network in the Urbanization. The calculation of attenuations and gains of the elements that make up the HFC network was also performed for the structure and placement of the same in a cadastral plan with the intention of verifying the number of passive elements, active elements, labor and cost that would imply the implementation of the project. dc.description.abstract	El proyecto consiste en diseñar una Red HFC en la Urbanización Puente de Piedra 2 y abastecer de servicios de telecomunicaciones a los habitantes que viven en este sector, la tecnología HFC realiza la combinación de cable de fibra óptica y cable coaxial lo cual facilita la transmisión de varios servicios como son (voz, datos, video). Para esto se ha desarrollado en la fundamentación teórica la explicación de cómo funcionan los componentes de la Red HFC y la importancia en el diseño de este proyecto, además se realiza el análisis de los tipos y características de los equipos pasivos y activos que se eligió en el diseño. A través de una investigación de campo se pudo verificar el lugar, cantidad de postes, calles y ver la factibilidad de instalar la Red HFC en la Urbanización. También se realizó el cálculo de atenuaciones y ganancias de los elementos que conforman la red HFC para la estructura y colocación de los mismos en un plano catastral con la intención de verificar la cantidad de elementos pasivos, elementos activos, mano de obra y los costos que implica la implementación del proyecto.
