Resumen:
En el presente trabajo de titulación se realizó un proceso de análisis de requisitos, diseño y
desarrollo del sistema informático orientado a la web para Gestión del Departamento de
Consejería Estudiantil (DECE) en la Unidad Educativa “Manuela Cañizares” de la ciudad
de Quito, con el objetivo de automatizar la gestión del Documento Individual de
Adaptación Curricular (DIAC), brindando herramientas para apoyo y análisis de
actividades como es el seguimiento de los casos.
Los instrumentos aplicados para la recolección de información fueron la encuesta y
entrevista aplicados a los principales intervinientes, entre ellos el personal administrativo,
personal DECE y docentes. Con respecto al desarrollo se empleó la metodología ágil XP
(Programación Extrema), con el fin de lograr un trabajo conjunto a través del
intercambiando de roles para satisfacer las necesidades del DECE.
La metodología ofrece el uso de historias de usuarios, tarjetas CRC (clase, responsabilidad
y colaboración) y planificación de entregables. De este modo la metodología cumple
eficazmente todo el ciclo de vida del proyecto desarrollado en JAVA (Open Source) cuya
arquitectura se basó en las Vistas (XHTML), BEAN como el Controlador y métodos de
acceso con SQL como Modelo.
En conclusión, se cumplen los objetivos propuestos ya que se conseguirá mejorar los
tiempos de respuesta que demandaba la gestión manual de los DIAC.

In the present degree work, a process of analysis of requirements was carried out, design
and development of the computerized system oriented to the web for Management of the
Department of Student Counseling (DECE) in the Educational Unit "Manuela Cañizares"
of the city of Quito, with the objective of automating the management of the Individual
Curriculum Adaptation Document (DIAC), providing tools for support and analysis of
activities such as monitoring cases.
The instruments applied for the collection of information were the survey and interview
applied to the main participants, among them the administrative personnel, DECE
personnel and teachers. With regard to development, the agile methodology XP (Extreme
Programming) was used, which is aimed at small projects developed by partner
programming in order to achieve a joint work through the exchange of roles to meet the
needs of the DECE.
The methodology offers the use of user stories, CRC cards (class, responsibility and
collaboration) and deliverables planning. In this way the methodology effectively fulfills
the entire life cycle of the project developed in JAVA (Open Source) whose architecture
was based on Views (XHTML), BEAN as the Controller and PostgreSQL as the Model.
In conclusion, the proposed objectives are met since it will be possible to improve the
response times demanded by the manual management of the DIACs.
