Resumen:
El presente trabajo se centra en el desarrollo de un book fotográfico de los instrumentosmusicales andinos del cantón Cotacachi en Imbabura. Esta propuesta nace a partir de lanecesidad de evidenciar la historia, la fabricación y la evolución de estos instrumentos que son
parte de la cultura indígena.
Para la elaboración del producto hubo que recurrir a la búsqueda de información de fuentesvalidadas desde la academia, por un lado, en la reflexión teórica se realizó un estudiocronológico de estos instrumentos y sus características. Mientras que, desde lo metodológico,
se estableció un enfoque cualitativo a través de entrevistas al director del Museo de lasCulturas en Cotacachi, quien brindó información fundamental para el desarrollo del bookfotográfico.
En lo que respecta al book fotográfico se presenta un producto en tono sepia y a color querecopila 116 fotografías con distintos planos en donde se muestran a los instrumentos y suhistoria. Así como las festividades del calendario del cantón Cotacachi en donde se usan estosinstrumentos andinos.

Abstract
This paper focuses on the development of photographic book of andean musical instruments in
the canton of Cotacachi in Imbabura. This proposal arises from the need to demonstrate the
history, manufacture, and evolution of these instruments that are part of the indigenous
culture.
For the elaboration of the product had to resort to the search of information of sources
validated from the academy, on the one hand, in the theoretical reflection a chronological
study of these instruments and their characteristics was carried out. While, from the
methodological standpoint, a qualitative approach was established through interviews with the
director of the Museum of Cultures in Cotacachi, who provided fundamental information for
the development of the photographic book.
As far as the photographic book is concerned, a sepia and colored product are presented that
collects 116 photographs with different planes where they are shown to the instruments and
their history. As well as the festivities of the Canton Cotacachi calendar where these Andean
instruments are used.
