dc.description	The next proposal is the creation of an artist's book with woodcut technique on the emblematic flora and fauna of the city of Quito for the general public. The objective of this book is to spread the flora and fauna so that the people of Quito know more about their natural resources. Woodcut technique plasma in different materials such as wood documents or works of art that provide a novel and attractive visual aesthetic. Prior to the development of the artist's book, a theoretical and empirical investigation was carried out regarding the most important of flora and fauna of the capital, as well as the processes to carry out the xylography. The proposal in this case is to design xylographic elements through the synthesis and abstraction of organic forms, generating new visual elements that represent the emblematic plants and animals of Quito, and disseminating these copies through an artist's book. dc.description.abstract	La siguiente propuesta es la creación de un libro de artista con técnica de grabado xilográfico sobre la flora y fauna emblemática de la ciudad de Quito para público en general. El objetivo de este libro es difundir la flora y la fauna con el fin de que los quiteños conozcan más a fondo sus recursos naturales. La técnica de grabado plasma en distintos materiales como la madera documentos u obras de arte que brindan una estética visual novedosa y atractiva. Previo al desarrollo del libro de artista se realizó una indagación teórica y empírica referente a la flora y fauna más representativa de la capital, así como los procesos para llevar adelante el xilograbado. La propuesta en este caso es diseñar elementos xilográficos a través de la síntesis y abstracción de formas orgánicas, generando nuevos elementos visuales que representen a las plantas y animales emblemáticos de Quito, y divulgando estos ejemplares a través de un libro de artista.
