Resumen:
El presente proyecto describe el desarrollo de un prototipo de estación meteorológica
portátil utilizando transmisión de información con tecnología GPRS, que por medio de la
investigación realizada se pudo determinar que las variables meteorológicas que afectan al
vuelo de helicópteros como: temperatura ambiente, humedad, altitud, presión atmosférica,
lluvia, velocidad y dirección del viento. Información que será obtenida por los sensores que
se entraran ubicados en el prototipo de estación meteorológica y serán procesados por medio
de la tarjeta Arduino Mega 2560 R3, con el uso de la tecnología GPRS a través del módulo
Shield SIM 900 GPRS se realizará el envío de las variables meteorológicas en tiempo real,
que se podrá visualizar en la plataforma remota ThingSpeak de Matlab, de la misma manera
enviará un mensaje de texto SMS al celular del Controlador de Tránsito Aéreo para que así
pueda informar las condiciones meteorológicas a las tripulaciones vuelo para que de esta
manera puedan planificar y realizar el plan de vuelo.

This project describes the development of a prototype portable weather station using
information transmission with GPRS technology, that through the investigation carried out
it was possible to determine that the meteorological variables that affect the flight of
helicopters such as: ambient temperature, humidity, altitude, atmospheric pressure, rain,
wind speed and direction. Information that will be obtained by the sensors that will be
entered located in the prototype of the weather station and will be processed by means of the
