Resumen:
El presente proyecto nace como una necesidad inmediata para tomar en cuenta a las
poblaciones presentes en cantones de provincias los cuales han quedado aislados al
crecimiento tecnológico de las grandes ciudades, tomando en cuenta que hoy en día el
acceso a la sociedad de la información está catalogado como una obligación para los
gobiernos locales.
Debido a esto, se establece como objetivo: Diseñar una red de fibra óptica hasta la
última milla con tecnología GPON para el cantón Lumbaqui de la provincia de Sucumbíos,
en el que se incluirán todos los parámetros a tomarse en cuenta para brindar cobertura de
alta velocidad a toda la población del lugar
Para cumplir con este objetivo se ha escogido un sistema de fibra óptica de última
generación, que tiene alta velocidad para navegación con características que mejorarán
notablemente el acceso a la información en toda la sociedad.
Se emplean los estándares tecnológicos definidos por la ITU con todas sus
recomendaciones enfocadas a redes de fibra óptica y también se rige a la normativa
nacional que dispone el uso de infraestructura pública para el tendido de las redes.
Se puede concluir que la implementación de redes de fibra óptica garantiza una
experiencia de alta calidad para el abonado, entregando altas velocidades con bajas
interrupciones y saturación del ancho de banda.

The present project is born as an immediate need to take into account the populations
present in little towns of provinces which have been isolated to the technological growth of
the big cities, taking into account that today the access to the information society is
cataloged as an obligation for local governments
Due to this, the objective is to: Design an Optical Fiber Network up to the last mile
with GPON technology for the Lumbaqui canton of the province of Sucumbíos, which will
include all the parameters to be taken into account to provide high speed coverage to the
entire population of the place
To meet this objective, a state of the art fiber optic system has been chosen, which has
a high speed for navigation with features that will significantly improve access to
information throughout society.
The technological standards defined by the ITU are used with all its recommendations
focused on fiber optic networks and also governs the national regulations that provide for
the use of public infrastructure for the laying of networks.
It can be concluded that the implementation of fiber optic networks guarantees a high
quality experience for the subscriber, delivering high speeds with low interruptions and
bandwidth saturation.
