Resumen:
El presente trabajo muestra los resultados dados de las mejoras realizadas en el
sistema de transmisión de datos para el Laboratorio 4-05 de la Universidad Tecnológica
Israel del campus noroccidental, mediante el cambio de equipos y elementos que forman
parte del cableado estructurado en categoría 6, el medio de distribución de la información
mediante el Switch administrable, el cual se cambió de acuerdo al análisis y al
requerimiento dado por el Departamento de Recursos Tecnológicos.
Se realizó entrevistas verbales con las autoridades de la Universidad en mención, con
lo cual se captará la percepción, las necesidades que los laboratorios presentan, con esta
información se obtuvo una idea general del requerimiento, adicional la estructura y
condición del cableado, se tomó en cuenta las distintas normas y estándares que
intervienen y con ello las ventajas que se puede añadir al funcionamiento del sistema.
La implementación beneficiará a la comunidad universitaria que aprovechan las
instalaciones del laboratorio, así mismo, la Universidad se verá directamente beneficiada al
mejorar sus instalaciones y ofrecer educación de calidad, hay que considerar el avance de
la tecnología, ya que esta va a la par del desarrollo y por lo tanto se consideró puertos SFP
a ser usados en un futuro con instalaciones de fibra óptica.

The present work shows the results given of the improvements made in the data
transmission system for the Laboratory 4-05 of the Israel Technological University of the
north-western campus, by means of the change of equipment and elements that are part of
the structured cabling in category 6, the means of distribution of information through the
administrable Switch, which was changed according to the analysis and the requirement
given by the Technological Resources Department.
Verbal interviews were held with the authorities of the University in mention, which
will capture the perception, the needs that the laboratories present, with this information a
general idea of the requirement was obtained, additional the structure and condition of the
wiring, was taken in it counts the different norms and standards that intervene and with it
the advantages that can be added to the operation of the system.
The implementation will benefit the university community that take advantage of the
laboratory facilities, likewise, the University will be directly benefited by improving its
facilities and offering quality education, we must consider the advancement of technology,
since this is on a par development and therefore considered SFP ports to be used in the
future with fiber optic installations.
