Resumen:
El abandono animal en la ciudad de Quito es una problemática que va en aumento, esto
es ocasionado por diferentes factores, entre ellos podemos destacar la falta de valores de la
ciudadanía, la poca educación que se tienen sobre los derechos de los animales y las
responsabilidades que se adquieren al acogerlos, además, se ha normalizado este tema,
insensibilizando a las personas y haciendo que pierdan el interés en esta situación.
Cabe recalcar que la ciudad de Quito ya posee una ley de bienestar animal la cual es la
ordenanza municipal 048 la cual consta de leyes y reglamentos para una tenencia
responsable, además de sanciones para los infractores, sin embargo, poco se ha hecho para
hacerla cumplir o buscar posibles soluciones.
Debido a la situación anteriormente mencionada se elaboró el siguiente proyecto, cuyo
objetivo es el de informar y concienciar a los jóvenes de la ciudad de Quito, mediante
infografías digitales interactivas para plataformas web, mediante las cuales se exponen: la
situación actual que viven los animales en estado de abandono, las causas principales por las
cuales las personas deciden abandonar a sus animales de compañía y lo que se debe tener
presente antes de acoger un animal.
Para el proceso de obtención de información para las infografías, se ha recopilado datos
de investigaciones y entrevistas realizadas de antemano, además, se obtuvo datos mediante
entrevistas a fundaciones de bienestar animal, lo que permitió el desarrollo de un proyecto
bien fundamentado.

The animal abandonment in the city of Quito is a problem that goes increasing, this is
occasioned for different reasons, between those we can highlight the missing of values of
the citizens, the minimum education that they have about the animal rights and the
responsibilities acquired by pick them up, besides this topic has been normalized and has
cause numbing on the people making them loose the interest on this situation.
It's worth say that the city of Quito already has a law of the animal welfare wich is the
municipal ordinance 048 the one who contains laws and regulations for a responsible tenure
besides of penalties for the offenders, however it has been done little to enforce it or seek
possible solutions.
So because of the situation before mencioned we have done the next proyect, whose
objetive is to inform and awareness to the young people of the city of Quito through
interactive digital infographics for web platforms, through which is expose: the actual
situation that animals live in a state of abandonment, the main causes for which people decide
to abandon their pets and what must be kept in mind before receiving an animal.
For the process of obtaining information for the photographs, it has been collected data
of researchers and interviews made in advance, also we got data through interviews with
animal welfare foundations, wich allowed the development of a well-founded project.
