dc.description	ABSTRACT The main purpose of the project is the design and construction of an experimental module of Optical Communications, for the career of Digital Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications at the Israel Technological University. The proposed practices are considered elementary as proposed in the project, it is a practical module necessary for understanding the methods used in the field of optical communications. The Israel Technological University in the career of Engineering in Digital Electronics and Telecommunications has increased the subject of Optical Communications in the curricular mesh, and in order to reinforce the knowledge of the students it is necessary to implement an experimental laboratory for this matter, which will serve as Support tool for the teacher of the Optical Communications course. As a result of the project's investigation, an experimental optical communications module was developed, which will benefit students in basic aspects, such as fusion, power measurements, material specifications, procedures, etc. In such a way that the students can access the equipment for free, since the same in the market have high costs and are difficult to acquire. dc.description.abstract	El propósito principal del proyecto es el diseño y construcción de un módulo experimental de Comunicaciones Ópticas, para la carrera de Ingeniería Electrónica Digital y Telecomunicaciones en la Universidad Tecnológica Israel. Las prácticas propuestas se consideran elementales según lo propuesto en el proyecto, es un módulo práctico necesario para la comprensión de los métodos utilizados en la materia de comunicaciones ópticas. La Universidad Tecnológica Israel en la carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica Digital y Telecomunicaciones, ha incrementado la materia de Comunicaciones Ópticas en la malla curricular, y para reforzar los conocimientos de los estudiantes es necesario implementar un laboratorio experimental para dicha materia, el cual servirá de herramienta de apoyo para el docente de la asignatura de Comunicaciones Ópticas. Como resultado de la investigación del proyecto, se elaboró un módulo experimental de comunicaciones ópticas, el cual beneficiará a los estudiantes en aspectos básicos, tales como fusión, mediciones de potencia, especificaciones de materiales, procedimientos, etc. De tal manera que los estudiantes puedan acceder a los equipos gratuitamente, ya que los mismos en el mercado tienen costos elevados y son de difícil adquisición.
