| dc.description | In the last decade, environmental deterioration has had significant increases, despite the international community's efforts to stop it. For this reason, the Ecuadorian University sees itself in the obligation to contribute to society according to the capacities in the improvement of the environment and contribute to the development of social responsibility within higher educational entities. Therefore, Israel University, joining the initiatives that the country has taken to care for the environment, has developed strategies to improve its environment and that of its group of stakeholders. And in this way communicate their efforts to society, obtaining an environmental label (as established by agreement 140 of the Ministry of the Environment). It is important to highlight that the Israel University has been motivated to promote activities based on good environmental practices, in order to minimize their impact. | dc.description.abstract | En la última década el deterioro medio ambiental ha tenido incrementos significativos, a pesar de los esfuerzos de la comunidad internacional de detenerlo. Por tal motivo la Universidad Ecuatoriana se ve en la obligación de contribuir a la sociedad acorde a las capacidades en la mejora del medio ambiente y contribuir al desarrollo de la responsabilidad social dentro de entidades educativas superiores. Por lo tanto, la Universidad Israel sumándose a las iniciativas que ha tenido el país para el cuidado del medio ambiente ha desarrollado estrategias para mejorar su entorno y el de su grupo de involucrados. Y de esta manera comunicar a la sociedad de sus esfuerzos, obteniendo un distintivo ambiental (según como lo establece el acuerdo 140 del ministerio del medio ambiente). Es importante destacar que la Universidad Israel se ha visto motivada a promover actividades basadas en las buenas prácticas ambientales, con el fin de minimizar su impacto. Según (Pública, s.f.) Dichas prácticas ambientales son acciones que pretenden reducir el impacto ambiental negativo que provocan los procesos productivos, aplicando medidas sencillas y útiles que pueden adoptar todas las personas en sus espacios laborales y educativas que establecen cambios en los procesos y las actividades diarias, logrando incrementar el compromiso y los resultados de mejora en el ambiente. Por tanto, acorde a estrategias ambientales y buenas prácticas que otras instituciones educativas u empresas se han planteado, la Universidad Israel hará hincapié y planteará de forma significativa procesos y procedimientos en cuanto a la creación de una cultura ambiental en su comunidad universitaria en camino para conseguir el distintivo medioambiental. | es_ES |
