Resumen:
El presente proyecto de titulación está enfocado en la creación de una tipografía
representativa de la Cultura Precolombina Machalilla, que remarque los rasgos presentes en
su cerámica como representación cultural. Así como el poder obtener un producto terminado,
de libre acceso al estar disponible en la web para su descarga. Para dar cumplimiento a estos
objetivos he direccionado el trabajo a realizar por medio del modelo metodológica del
Diseñador Joan Costa, el cual presenta 5 etapas
Etapa 1 / Obtención de la Información.
Recaudación de toda la información correspondiente a nuestro tema por medio de una
investigación.
Etapa 2 / Heurística
Redibujar las imágenes, seleccionar los elementos de la cerámica, obtener el módulo.
Etapa 3 / Formalización y Corrección.
Elaboración de esbozos, bocetos y alternativas tipográficas.
Etapa 4 / Realización definitiva.
Digitalización de la propuesta, diseño de la retícula, cajas tipográficas y uso de líneas
de referencia de la letra.
Etapa 5 / Verificación
Utilización del programa Fontlab para crear una tipografía de formato otf, Subir la tipografía
a la web para su descarga.
Descripción:
The following project is focused on creating a representative typography of the Pre-
Columbian Machalilla Culture, remarking the features present in its ceramics as a cultural
representation. As well as to obtain a finished product available on the web for free download.
To accomplish this objectives the project will be executed using the methodological model of
Joan Costa, which has five stages.
Stage 1 / Obtaining Information.
Collect all relevant information related to the main subject through an investigation.
Stage 2 / Heuristics
Redraw the images, select the items of ceramics, obtein the module.
Stage 3 / Formalizing and Correction.
Preparation of sketches and typographical alternatives.
Stage 4 / Final achievement
Digitization of the proposal, reticle design, typographical boxes and use of letter reference
lines.

Stage 5 / Verification
Use of the program Fontlab, to create an OTF typography format. Upload the
typography to the web for the free download.
