Resumen:
RESUMEN
El déficit visual constituye el impedimento de realizar cualquier acción con el sentido
de la vista, los niños con ceguera total y baja visión tienen la misma capacidad de
aprendizaje en relación con los niños de visión normal siempre y cuando posean el
material didáctico adecuado y la estimulación temprana de sus otros sentidos, siendo
el sentido del tacto uno de los más importantes ya que al tocar objetos, que no pueden
ver con sus ojos, lo podrán imaginar con el tacto.
La percepción táctil es el motor de este proyecto dando paso al diseño de un cuento
con ilustraciones táctiles, con el que se pretende crear material didáctico que haga
posible el aprendizaje y desarrollo intelectual de los niños con ceguera total y baja
visión que comprenden las edades de 5 a 6 años del Instituto Mariana de Jesús.

ABSTRACT
Visual Impairment is the impediment to perform any task with the sense of sight, the
blind and visually impaired children have the same learning abilities as children with
normal vision as long as they have the adequate teaching materials and early
stimulation of their other senses, the sense of touch being one of the most important
ones since touching objects helps them imagine objects which they can´t see.
Tactile perception is the engine of this project along with the design of a story book with
tactile illustrations which aims to create teaching material to make possible learning
and intellectual development of blind and visually impaired children from the “Instituto
Mariana de Jesús” between the ages of 5 and 6.
