dc.description	Abstract The following project is based on the design of didactic posters, to reinforce the teaching of the English language in boys and girls of the first year of basic education of the "Efrata" private school, located in the city of Quito. Currently, English is the most spoken language on the planet according to a study conducted by the American Institute English First (2017), in which it was determined that the English language is considered as a "universal" language being the most taught at the global level. Being the learning of the English language, one of the fundamental axes from the primary education, the private school "Efrata" does not have didactic material that attracts the attention of the first-year students of basic education, which hinders the transmission of the knowledge on the part of the professors and the demotivation of the students in this subject. This diagnosis was obtained from semistructured interviews with the director of the institution, Academic assistant director, and a teacher from the English area to learn more about the teaching method and methodology, the type of existing teaching material, as well Also can determine the deficiencies that can be solved with products of graphic design. In addition, an observation was developed in which it was evident that the teacher makes didactic material with resources available in the list of useful, which is requested to the parents at the beginning of the school year. However, this material does not attract students, which does not allow constructive learning to be generated daily. From the model of constructivist education that manages the school, and knowing exactly the needs of it, the design of 2d didactic posters was proposed, with the purpose of reinforcing the teaching of the English language in the first-year children of Basic, these posters have a coherent visual appeal for the age of the students, besides containing diverse activities with which the student interacts with the product, being the participant of his own development of the knowledge. dc.description.abstract	Resumen El siguiente proyecto se basa en el diseño de afiches didácticos, para reforzar la enseñanza del idioma inglés en niños y niñas del primer año de educación básica de la Escuela Particular “Efrata”, ubicada en la ciudad de Quito. En la actualidad, el inglés es el idioma que más se habla en el planeta según un estudio realizado por el instituto estadounidense English First (2017), en el cual se determinó que el idioma inglés es considerado como una lengua “universal” siendo la que más se enseña a nivel mundial. Siendo el aprendizaje del idioma inglés, uno de los ejes fundamentales desde la educación primaria, la Escuela Particular “Efrata” no cuenta con material didáctico que atraiga la atención de los alumnos de primer año de educación básica, lo que dificulta la transmisión del conocimiento por parte de los profesores y la desmotivación de los alumnos en esta asignatura. Este diagnóstico se obtuvo a partir de entrevistas semiestructuradas a la directora de la institución, subdirector académico, y a un docente del área de inglés para conocer más a fondo sobre el método y metodología de enseñanza, el tipo de material didáctico existente, así también poder determinar las carencias que puedan ser solventadas con productos de diseño gráfico. Además, se desarrolló una observación en la cual se evidenció que la profesora realiza material didáctico con recursos disponibles en la lista de útiles, que se solicita a los padres al inicio del año escolar. Sin embargo, este material no atrae a los estudiantes, lo cual no permite que se genere un aprendizaje constructivo en el día a día. A partir del modelo de educación constructivista que maneja la escuela, y conociendo con exactitud las necesidades de la misma, se propuso el diseño de afiches didácticos 2D, con el propósito de reforzar la enseñanza del idioma inglés en los niños y niñas de primer año de básica, estos afiches cuenta con un atractivo visual coherente para la edad de los alumnos, además de contener diversas actividades con las cuales el alumno interactúa con el producto, siendo este el partícipe de su propio desarrollo del conocimiento.
