dc.description	This research analyzes the use of WIN ABC educational software for the development of literacy in second grade students of the Educational Institution Dr. Arturo Freire in 2019, Tababela parish, Quito. With a population of 29 students and based on observations and information from the PEI, the need to strengthen literacy using a technological tool was created. The research question was: How does the absence of the use of educational software for literacy affect second grade students of the Dr. Arturo Freire Educational Institution in 2019? The mixed research approach, the method of direct observation, tests, interviews, guide questions and evaluations for the learning and summative process were applied. To validate the research proposal, the testimonials from 19 education specialists were evaluated, whose results were tabulated and analyzed to gather information. In this way, it is concluded that the educational software Win ABC is an innovative technological proposal, where it contains playful and adaptable activities at the level of second grade students; especially in areas where it was evident that students have shortcomings as in literacy. dc.description.abstract	Resumen En la presente investigación se analiza el uso del software educativo WIN ABC para el desarrollo de la lectoescritura en estudiantes de segundo grado de la Institución Educativa Dr. Arturo Freire en el año 2019, parroquia Tababela, ciudad de Quito. Con una población muestra de 29 estudiantes y en base a observaciones e información del PEI se creó la necesidad de fortalecer la lectoescritura por medio del uso de una herramienta tecnológica. El objetivo general de la investigación fue emplear un software educativo para desarrollar el proceso de enseñanza de la lectoescritura en estudiantes de segundo grado de la Institución fiscal. La pregunta de investigación fue: ¿Cómo influye la ausencia de utilización del software educativo para la lectoescritura en los estudiantes de segundo grado, de la Institución Educativa Dr. Arturo Freire en el año 2019? Se utilizó el enfoque de investigación mixto, el método de observación directa, pruebas, entrevistas, guía de preguntas y se aplicaron evaluaciones para el proceso de aprendizaje y sumativa. Para validar la propuesta de investigación se valoraron testimonios de 19 especialistas en educación, cuyos resultados se tabularon y analizaron para recabar información. De este modo se concluye que el software educativo Win ABC es una propuesta tecnológica innovadora, donde contiene actividades lúdicas y adaptables al nivel de los educandos de segundo año de estudios; especialmente en áreas donde se evidenció que los estudiantes tienen falencias como en la lectoescritura.
