dc.description	Abstract The Diabladas de Píllaro, a festival declared a cultural heritage of humanity that takes place on the first 6 days of the month of January in which there are a number of characters that are involved in this party, one of the characters and object of this investigation are the masks of the devils of Píllaro, colorful masks with a unique morphology, present characteristics that make them easily distinguishable from any other type of masks that belong to other festivals, national and international. The masks date approximately 150 years ago when this tradition began and over time they have undergone a morphological transition; going from being masks with human features to monstrous masks with a number of horns, mostly belonging to animals such as bull, ox and white-tailed deer. The purpose of this project is to design an illustrated book to emphasize the morphological changes of the massacres from the year 1970 to the present year, through research in the Pact Museum located in the parish of Píllaro, and with reference to the artist plastic Ítalo Espín, who has dedicated himself to collecting and designing the masks of Diablada de Píllaro. dc.description.abstract	Las Diabladas de Píllaro, una fiesta declarada patrimonio cultural de la humanidad que se realiza los seis primeros días del mes de enero en la cual existe un número de personajes que se ve envueltos en esta fiesta, uno de los personajes y objeto de esta investigación son las máscaras de los diablos de Píllaro, máscaras coloridas y con una morfología única, presentan características que hacen que las distingan de forma fácil de cualquier otro tipo de máscaras que pertenecen a otros festivales, nacionales como internacionales. Las máscaras datan aproximadamente desde hace ciento cincuenta años cuando inicio esta tradición y a lo largo del tiempo han pasado por una transición morfológica; pasando de ser máscaras con rasgos humanos a máscaras monstruosas con un sin número de cuernos, en su mayoría pertenecientes a animales como toro, buey y venado de cola blanca. El presente proyecto tiene como finalidad diseñar un book ilustrado para enfatizar los cambios morfológicos de las máscaras desde el año 1970 hasta el presente año, a través de la investigación en el museo de EL Pacto ubicado en la parroquia de Píllaro, y teniendo como referencia al artista plástico Ítalo Espín, quien se ha dedicado a coleccionar y diseñar las máscaras de la Diablada de Píllaro.
