dc.description	Abstract The purpose of the investigation is to provide educational support to both teachers and students, permitting the teaching-learning process through individual and collective critical thinking, promoting independent work, on investigative attitude and facilitating the relationship between science, technology and the environment. In this particular case, the absence of didactic material and the scarce use of technology in the subject of cultural and artistic education emerged as problematic in the Educational Unit “Juan Pío Montufar”, causing demotivation by students limiting the teaching-learning process .In this sense, it began with a study on the development of a virtual learning environment that will serve as didactic support in the teaching-learning process of the cultural artistic education of the tenth year students of higher basic education of the “Juan Pío Montufar “Educational Unit . The investigation had a mixed approach, since the data was obtained directly from the context. The techniques and instruments used were the student survey and an interview with the systems technician and a teacher of the subject of cultural and artistic education. The sample was carried out through random and intentional sampling due to certain criteria preestablished by the researcher, where 40 students of the upper basic who are studying in the thenth year with their respective teacher and a systems technician were selected. In conclusion, it was obtained that the execution of a virtual learning environment is fundamental in the aforementioned subject, since education is constantly changing and generates new opportunities when using TIC’s in the teaching-learning process in order to cover the demands imposed by society. dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación tiene como propósito brindar un apoyo didáctico tanto a los docentes como a los estudiantes permitiendo que el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje sea mediante el trabajo crítico individual y colectivo, promover el trabajo independiente, una actitud investigativa y facilitar la relación entra la ciencia, la tecnología y el entorno. En este caso particular surgió como problemática en la Unidad Educativa “Juan Pío Montufar”. La falta de material didáctico y el escaso uso de la tecnología en la asignatura de educación cultural y artística desmotivan a los estudiantes limitando el proceso de enseñanzaaprendizaje. En este sentido, se inició con un estudio sobre la elaboración de un entorno virtual de aprendizaje que sirva como apoyo didáctico en el proceso de la enseñanzaaprendizaje de la educación cultural y artística de los estudiantes de décimo año de educación básica superior de la “Unidad Educativa Juan Pío Montufar”. La investigación tuvo un enfoque mixto, ya que los datos fueron obtenidos directamente del contexto. Las técnicas e instrumentos empleados fueron la encuesta a los estudiantes, una entrevista al técnico en sistemas y a un docente de la asignatura de educación cultural y artística. La muestra se realizó a través de un muestreo al azar e intencional debido a ciertos criterios preestablecidos por la investigadora, donde se seleccionaron 40 estudiantes de la básica superior que se encuentran cursando el décimo año con su respectivo docente y un técnico en sistemas. Como conclusión se obtuvo que la ejecución de un entorno virtual de aprendizaje es fundamental en la asignatura mencionada, ya que la educación está en constante cambio y genera nuevas oportunidades al utilizar las TIC, dentro del proceso enseñanza aprendizaje para así cubrir las exigencias que impone la sociedad.
