dc.description	Education in Latin America must be aimed at forming competitive beings to satisfy the labor market offered by companies in different economic activities. By For this reason, training and updating in the areas of knowledge is necessary. In this sense the development of skills, the cognitive level and the ability to solve problems, they are part of the educational purposes required by today's society (OECD/CAF/CEPAL, 2018). In the same way, the current demands in the educational environment have given new turns in the educational activity in the region. Social problems are referents in educational quality, as well as how the impacts of current phenomena, such as the "pandemic" have modified the course of education to other settings. The educational context in South America shares similar aspects with all the countries that comprise it, therefore, the regional educational phenomenon has its own strengths and weaknesses, which are permanently questioned by those who understand the matter, whose criticisms are directed mainly at the educational system and corruption issues. For these reasons, education in South America requires permanent attention to issues education, especially training in values and the development of creativity, considering the new challenges of today's world.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La educación en América Latina debe estar encaminada a formar seres competitivos para satisfacer el mercado laboral que ofertan las empresas en las diferentes actividades económicas. Por esta razón es necesario la capacitación y la actualización en las áreas del conocimiento. En este sentido el desarrollo de habilidades, el nivel cognitivo y la capacidad para solucionar problemas, forman parte de los fines educativos que requiere la sociedad actual (OCDE/CAF/CEPAL, 2018). De igual forma las exigencias actuales en el entorno educativo han dado nuevos giros en la actividad educativa de la región. Los problemas sociales son referentes en la calidad educativa, así como los impactos de los fenómenos actuales, tales como la “pandemia” han modificado el curso de la educación a otros escenarios. El contexto educativo en Sudamérica comparte aspectos similares con todos los países que la conforman, por lo que, el fenómeno educativo regional tiene sus propias fortalezas y debilidades, las cuales son cuestionadas permanentemente por las entendidos de la materia, cuyas críticas se dirigen principalmente al sistema educativo y a los temas de corrupción. Por lo expuesto, la educación en Sudamérica requiere de una permanente atención en temas educativos, especialmente la formación en valores y el desarrollo de la creatividad, considerando los nuevos retos del mundo actual.	es_ES
