Resumen:
En la presente actividad investigativa se plantea desarrollar el concepto de generación
millennials, es imperioso establecer el origen de la conceptualización generacional
realizada académicamente, misma que se encuentra en los textos de Manheim en el año
1952 con su libro The problem of Generations. Donde centra sus ideas principales en la
influencia histórica y social de ciertos grupos sociales, lo que distingue a una generación
de otra (Ramírez Ángel , 2022).
Por otra parte se encuentra el autor Strauss y Howe en el año 1991 con su obra
Generaciones, en dónde el autor centra la idea de los recambios generacionales como
parte de la historia de Estados Unidos, historia marcada por los relevos generacionales,
el punto de partida del concepto generacional parte de los antes mencionada autores
quienes centran su atención en el concepto de generación y su importancia (Ramírez
Ángel , 2022).
De acuerdo con Howe y Straus (2000) una cohorte generacional se conforma entre
20 a 25 años y establece cuatro cohortes generacionales: a) generación silenciosa
(nacidos entre 1925 y 1952) b) Baby boomer ( nacidos entre 1942 y 1960) c)
Generación 13 ( generación X nacida entre 1961 y 1981) y d) Millennials (
nacidos entre 1982 y 2000) (Aguilar Rodriguez, Artieda Cajilema , & Acosta
Aguinaga , 2022)

In the present investigative activity it is proposed to develop the concept of generation
millennials, it is imperative to establish the origin of the generational conceptualization
carried out academically, which is found in Manheim's texts in the year
1952 with his book The problem of Generations. Where he focuses his main ideas on the
historical and social influence of certain social groups, what distinguishes a generation
from another (Ramírez Ángel, 2022).
On the other hand, there is the author Strauss and Howe in 1991 with his work
Generations, where the author focuses the idea of generational replacements as
part of the history of the United States, history marked by generational changes,
the starting point of the generational concept starts from the aforementioned authors
who focus their attention on the concept of generation and its importance (Ramírez
Angel, 2022).
According to Howe and Straus (2000), a generational cohort is formed between
20 to 25 years old and establishes four generational cohorts: a) silent generation
(born between 1925 and 1952) b) Baby boomer (born between 1942 and 1960) c)
Generation 13 (generation X born between 1961 and 1981) and d) Millennials (
