A lo largo del desarrollo del hombre y dentro de las actividades de comercio, el transporte es
una de las necesidades principales y retos que se han podido superar y tecnificar con el pase del
tiempo y mediante el uso de las tecnologías, promoviendo el avance de la civilización.
El tiempo pasó y la llegada del siglo XVIII trajo la revolución industrial que permitió el
desarrollo de la tecnología y la producción en masa empleando nuevas fuerzas motoras para
trasladar mayor cantidad en menor tiempo, es así que los animales fueron reemplazados por
máquinas que proporcionaban optimizar el tiempo y transportar mayores volúmenes y es así
como la invención de la motocicleta a finales del siglo XIX dio paso a la creación de los vehículos
en el mismo siglo, dando origen al transporte terrestre como lo conocemos hoy en día.
Hoy en día las camionetas juegan un papel muy importante dentro de las actividades
económicas formando parte ya de la cotidianidad y siendo un pilar muy importante que ayuda
en la cadena de suministro de las empresas, fomentando y dinamizando el comercio, siendo
utilizadas tanto por las grandes empresas como también por personas que centran su actividad
y como fuente de empleo en el transporte.
En el mundo existen diversas marcas de vehículos, y según un estudio realizado en el año
2022 por Alfredo Rueda, periodista español especializado en el campo automotriz, que ha
destacado por estar inmerso en varios gabinetes de prensa como Federación Española de
Automovilismo y también en otros medios como Motor 16, Marca Motor o Auto Bild, informa
que en el mundo existen actualmente unas 180 marcas de Vehículos, las cuales van en aumento
debido al crecimiento del mercado automotriz oriental; sin embargo este número podría
elevarse hasta 300 ya que muchas marcas han desaparecido silenciosamente del mercado.
