Descripción : Among the objectives pursued by neuropsychology is to recognize and assess the evolution of people. In this sense and based on the fact that the application of certain cognitive tests in the field of neuropsychological evaluation is not enough to show a relationship between the attentional levels and the perception of time, and, from what derives from this, restlessness and importance of applying other instruments, which allow measuring, analyzing and relating the results that these throw (Ardila & Ostrosky, 2012). According to Echavarría Ramírez (2013) during the 19th century, attention was the main study, among several topics, of experimental psychology, with the development of Neuropsychology in the decade of the 1960s, the analysis of attention took shape and was finally consolidated as an important part of the nervous system, responsible for directing complex actions in the brain. Different studies agree that a deficit in attention generates secondary difficulties in certain cognitive functions such as memory, language, learning, and this can be altered in some neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and in other neurological pathologies (Narbona, 2020). At all times the brain is bombarded by a series of information that it cannot process simultaneously, for this, it uses synchronicity, a mechanism that allows, among other things, order the information, this entails estimating the passage of time; different studies related to the perception of time agree on two models: the chronobiological ones that receive information that comes from the environment, and the cognitive ones based on the information that is registered in memory (Correa et al., 2006). Considered a fundamental function of various brain systems, the perception of time has been associated with the functioning of a clock and with certain brain areas such as the cerebellum, ganglia basal cells, striatum and prefrontal cortex (Ramírez, 2016). Ramírez (2016), citing Berlin, mentions that people with damage to the orbitofrontal cortex present a subjective sensation of time, that is, it is faster, which generates a overestimation of time.
